Speaking at the Miraflores Palace, Aspect Holdings President Alex Cranberg described Venezuela as a place explorers want to work, citing its geology and the skill of its workforce.
A return to the country’s exploration history. Cranberg compared today’s effort to that of the pioneers who arrived a century ago hoping to find something new, and said Aspect returns with the same spirit.
Exploration alongside PDVSA. He said the alliance with PDVSA will allow the study of new exploration blocks, including areas in the Orinoco Belt and the Gulf of Venezuela.
Capital, technology and training. Aspect will bring capital, technology and the capacity to take on operational risk. Cranberg pointed to technical collaboration over recent months and committed to ongoing training to strengthen local staff.
Development with the environment and communities in mind. The company aims to develop a series of fields over the coming years, with a sustained presence at the operating sites and care for the environment and neighboring communities.
Support after the recent earthquakes. Cranberg expressed sorrow over the recent earthquakes in the region and said Aspect is willing to help right away with medical and social assistance.
